Born and raised in the UK, Lucinda has lived and worked in the Middle East since 1997, settling in Dubai in 2012. With a background in graphic design and website development spanning over two decades, she has contributed to major branding, advertising, and marketing campaigns across the GCC region.
Lucinda’s journey into the art world began unexpectedly, sparked by a natural talent for drawing. Her artwork aims to capture the essence of beauty, humor, and emotion, often intertwining with the rich tradition and heritage of the region she holds dear. She delights in portraying expressions such as love, curiosity, and inquisitiveness, infusing life and legacy into her creations while avoiding excessive realism. Her work to date, although relatively small in number of pieces, has been described as “Nostalgic,” “Emotive,” and “Beautiful,” resonating with viewers and artists alike on a profound level.
So far Lucinda has specialised in pastel works of animals and wildlife portraits, including beloved pets, Lucinda is also exploring the dramatic and captivating realm of acrylic portraits.
Lucinda’s artistic journey has led her to the Cross Borders Art Gallery Exhibition, marking her debut in a joint exhibition. When not immersed in art, she can be found tending to her garden, indulging in woodworking and DIY projects, or embarking on explorations in her 4×4 pickup across the UAE and Oman, seeking inspiration from diverse cultures and the beauty of nature. Her quest for creative muses extends to the misty coastlines of Cornwall, England, where she also spends time with her mother, foraging for inspiration amidst the rugged landscapes.
