More Tramps Abroad

Don't you just love Robins? I cannot resist them and they feature a lot in my work. Here a robin perches upon a time-worn silver trophy beside a small collection of old books, including Mark Twain’s More Tramps Abroad. Part still life and part imagined encounter, the composition brings together literature, nature and found objects to create a nostalgic miniature world filled with warmth, curiosity and quiet narrative. Fun fact: the little trophy belongs to my 90 year old mother and commemorates her winning a beauty contest in 1957. Bless!
