Inquisitive Robin in a Box

A bright European robin perches upon a small antique silver cup, nestled alongside a collection of well-loved vintage books. Bringing together the natural world with objects carrying traces of another time, the composition celebrates curiosity, nostalgia and the unexpected encounters found in quiet corners. I wanted the robin’s vivid orange breast to provide a jewel-like focal point within the warm, shadowed intimacy of the wooden box.
